Responsibilities
• Responsible for servicing personal lines clientele and grow a specific book of business.
• Will also be responsible for facilitating policy changes, claims reporting and advocacy, reviewing existing renewals, generating new business, file reviews, and cross-selling.

Qualifications
• Post-secondary schooling in business, sales/marketing, risk management or related discipline.
• 3+ years of related experience in insurance industry.
• Strong working knowledge of personal lines products.
• Minimum Level 2 Alberta General Insurance License.
• CIP designation, or working towards is considered an asset.

Underwriting Service Support Manager

Responsibilities
• Supervise underwriting service support staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of policies in accordance with established guidelines
• Responsible for daily workflow and resource management in the servicing of new and existing policies
• Communicate and implement policies, procedures and processing guidelines, and ensure that all underwriting processing and clerical work is performed promptly and accurately
• Provide individual and team feedback for the purpose of coaching staff to meet or exceed planned results in the areas of production targets, data quality, and service levels

Qualifications
• Post-secondary school education and/or equivalent on the job experience
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the property and casualty industry
• Excellent computer skills and ability to work within and adapt to PC orientated environments
• Actively pursuing CIP designation an asset
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels, throughout the organization and externally
• Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and adjust to peak workloads, while maintaining a customer service focus

Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter

Responsibilities
• Responsible for underwriting and servicing moderate to increasingly complex accounts
• Responsible for the successful evaluation, selection, negotiation, and pricing for assigned policies
• Execute individual pricing and risk selection decisions within the assigned underwriting authority
• Act as a resource on risks outside of the authority level for less experienced Underwriters, and authorize risks within own established authority levels
• Analyze new business for eligibility by assessing exposures and hazards as determined by review of underwriting data
• Collaborate with brokers and customers to assist in business retention and customer satisfaction through regular interactions
• Investigate customers’ risk factors relative to corporate pricing approach to gain support, agreement and enhance relationships

• Assist in the price monitoring, risk selection and data quality performance reviews
• Maintain corporate and Regional underwriting objectives, including but not limited, to rate adequacy, tier strategies, ground up documentation and services standards
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters and support staff

Qualifications
• Post-secondary school education and/or equivalent on the job experience
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in the property and casualty industry
• Broad knowledge and understanding of underwriting discipline and pricing models
• Working knowledge of company underwriting philosophy, policy contracts, rating programs, risk information sources, underwriting/technical manual information, statuary constraints, and computer workflow procedures
• Ability to work within a PC oriented environment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Completion of the CIP/FCIP designation
